Nuclear is Our Future intends to promote the use of nuclear technology to solve real-world problems. That means:
1. Gathering and providing, to policymakers and the nontechnical public, information about those technologies which is clear, complete, correct, and context-based, especially when it shines an unflattering light, so that roadblocks may be removed and problems may be corrected.
2. Avoiding industry influence, so that no company’s products or business practices interfere with finding the best route to the wider application of nuclear technology–we do not seek or accept, and no company or other industry entity has offered, any industry funding or compensation of any sort (that being said, if we ever introduce a paid service, which we don’t have any plans to do, industry entities may or may not, depending on the service, be able to use it like any other paying customer).
3. Placing current events in the field of nuclear technology in the proper context–the physical functionality of the technologies concerned, the actions of personnel and organizations in using it, the social, economic, and political conditions that cause the technologies concerned to be used in a manner that would allow the event to occur, and whether, in light of the goal of increasing the use of nuclear technology, these events should be encouraged–and bringing that context to the attention of the nontechnical public.
4. Reaching out to those who agree that the use of nuclear technology should be expanded and inspiring them to organized, relevant action toward that end.
5. Engaging in constructive dialogue (that is, an attempt to find a course of action which will achieve the aims of both sides) with those opposed to the expanded use of nuclear technology when they are willing to do so.
6. Opposing legal, regulatory, and publicity initiatives which would prevent expanded use of nuclear technology.
