Unresolved:
- Most of the site’s content isn’t up yet, and the structure into which it will be placed has not yet been organized. We’re working on this.
- There isn’t currently a print stylesheet, so a printed version of the page contains a couple of forms and generally looks like it’s from 1996. We used to have a print stylesheet, and we’re reworking it for the new template.
- The search function is a simple text search rather than the query-based system we’re developing.
- Email and RSS subscription services haven’t been implemented on the new system yet.
- About 10-20 comments were dropped in the conversion of the news section from Blogger to WordPress. They can’t be imported, or even located, until 20,000 spam comments are deleted from the old Blogger blog–individually, since Blogger has no bulk comment delete tool or even a comment manager.
- The Anti-Nuclear Links section is incomplete. Completing it is going to require manual copying-and-pasting of several hundred links, and it’s not at the top of the priority list.
- The commenting system on the new version of WordPress supports threaded comments, but the template doesn’t. We’ll have to rewrite part of it.
- The list of pages is getting very cumbersome with only two top-level pages so far. It will have to be rewritten to use tree logic, or discarded. The list of pages, which is supposed to be there, is wrecking the layout and has been removed. We’ll have to find a new way to do this.
- Categories in the blog/news page aren’t nested by subject, and the posts probably need to be reclassified with that possibility in mind. Also, some of the older pages still haven’t been categorized.
- Links in the blog/news page are broken two ways–the domain is wrong and the permalinks have been reformatted.
Resolved:
- The search function now works across the entire site.
- The blog/news page now has a 301 redirect, since it has been merged with the main site.
- The Nuclear Advocacy Webring code is now present on the bottom of the pages.
